Replying to hover2:

This very old ATA-2 disk likely does not support SMART.

Please add '-T permissive' to smartctl parameters in GSmartControl options. Some ATA-2 disks may support an early version of SMART.

Id post this to a board, but seems like there is no board for smartmontools?!

There is no board, please use smartmontools-support mailing list for support requests.

Well, copying the Commandline GSMartControl uses and adding a "-T" Parameter makes no output at all on cmd ?!

GSmartControl uses smartctl-nc.exe (no console) to run in background without a console. From a console this works only if output is redirected to a file. Use smartctl.exe instead to run from console, e.g:

smartctl -T permissive -a pd0
