Description (last modified by Christian Franke)

Hello,

We have many Servers running Server 2008+ on LSi Raid cards mainly 9260 with windows. I am wondering if and when you will support this and if we can donate to have it supported. We just get the below errors.

smartctl 6.5 2016-05-07 r4318 [x86_64-w64-mingw32-2012r2] (sf-6.5-1)

Smartmontools supports CSMI for SATA (but not for SAS) devices. Some LSI drivers for Windows reportedly support CSMI pass-through, see ticket #276.

I'm not aware of any other ATA/SCSI pass-through functionality in the Windows drivers for LSI RAID controllers. Do you have any evidence that this exists (e.g. a vendor specific SMART tool) ?

The following is required to add support for this controller:

  • Documentation and/or sample source code for the vendor specific pass-through functionality of the Windows driver. You might want to ask LSI support whether this is available.
  • Access to a test machine with this controller.
