Description

Hi,

Currently using 5.43:

smartmontools release 5.43 dated 2012-06-30 at 14:03:01 UTC
smartmontools SVN rev 3573 dated 2012-06-30 at 14:03:55
smartmontools build host: i686-w64-mingw32

smartctl --scan does not show my Areca 1220:

/dev/sda -d scsi # /dev/sda, SCSI device
/dev/sdb -d scsi # /dev/sdb, SCSI device
/dev/sdc -d scsi # /dev/sdc, SCSI device
/dev/sdd -d scsi # /dev/sdd, SCSI device
/dev/csmi0,1 -d ata # /dev/csmi0,1, ATA device

But if I query manually, I can get the info:
smartctl --all --device=areca,1/1 /dev/arcmsr0

smartctl 5.43 2012-06-30 r3573 [i686-w64-mingw32-2003(64)-sp2] (sf-5.43-1)

Support for smartctl --scan and smartd.conf DEVICESCAN is only implemented for 3ware RAID on Windows and Intel ICHxR on Windows. This feature is still missing for all other controllers and platforms.
