Delete test text again. I keep the test version as demonstation for the bug reporter and to save the error message for us

    378378While several chipsets are listed in unsupported category above (e.g. ASMedia - the USB ID of which may or may not actually indicate an ASMedia chip), there might actually be "better" firmware available. Given sufficient(!) Internet research one might be able to find a '''compatible''' improved firmware which given some luck smartmontools then will be able to support. Do exercise lots of caution,though (an improper/incompatible firmware update may easily render such USB adapters unusable/bricks).
