Description

With the currently available Seagate product line "IronWolf Pro" there a two diffent HDD-firmaware/versions in distribution!

The one included in drivesdb is called "ST24000NT002-3N1101", works fine!

The second version of this HDD is identified as "ST240000NT002"(End-of-Identifier!)

According to displayed Information, both are running on firmware version "EN01"

For reference purposes the following serial can be used:
"ZYD0BN4N" for a "ST24000NT002"-HDD

"ZYD0G2C7" for a "ST24000NT002-3N1101"-HDD

Different version were identified because both types of HDD's were meant to be uses in a Synology NAS-System.
Type"ST24000NT-3N1101" is identified and seen as Allocation State "normal" and "healthy" to be used in a storage pool.
Type "ST24000NT002" is not iditified and seen as Allocation State "not intialized". Both HDDs of type "ST24000NT002" show wrong temp-values "-1°C/30°F". This Temp-value is a double-converted value of a around 35°C, which gave an indication that data between HDD and system were not correctly send or identified.
Swapping bays confirmed that the phenomenon was had to do with the these two disks.
Further research in the linux-system via SSH gave out that "smartctl -a" could only give proper and complete data for the "ST24...-3N1101" versions!
Other versions could not give out complete data.

Requests for drive database enhancements require at least one smartctl -x -a ... output of an affected device due to project policies :-)

Note that the problems described are possibly unrelated to the drive database.
